William L "Bill" Powers, age 93, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 2:42 PM – Thursday, May 16, 2024, at HSHS St John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
Funeral services celebrating Bill's life will be held at 11:00 AM – Monday - May 20, 2024, at Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. The burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. A visitation for family and friends will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM - Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Willam, better known as "Bill," was born on March 14, 1931, in Metea, Indiana, the son of Harlan and Susi (Evans) Powers. He married Jean Ann Myers on December 31, 1959, in Logansport, Indiana, and she preceded him in death on April 15, 2020.
